After
their parents' death in 1965, Alphonse's brothers and sisters
handed over the family property to him. Alphonse had been
working in the wineyard since he was 14 years old (1943).
But in the eighties he was tired of only producing grapes
for the cooperative. He wanted to finally make his own wine.
Therefore, in 1982, Alphonse and Françoise created
the "Mas d'Intras".
At
age 82 and 80 respectively (in 2011), Alphonse and Françoise
are now retired, but they are always available to give a helping
hand where needed.
WHO
IS WORKING AT THE MAS D’INTRAS TODAY?
Currently
there are five of us. Denis and Emmanuel joined the estate
in the early nineties, as did Emmanuel's wife Magalie - our
part-time employee. Sébastien, the son of Alphonse's
youngest sister, joined as a third partner in 2005. Our employee
Ida (the godmother of Denis's daughter Camille) is working
part-time for us since january 2003. Since January 1st 2010,
Sébastien and Denis manage the Mas
d'Intras together.
Sébastien
is responsible for the vineyards and the equipment, takes
care of the cellar and supervises the bottling. Magalie assists
him.

Magalie
works in the office and helps customers in our tasting
room, where we all help, if necessary.

Denis'
job is marketing the MAS D'INTRAS and delivering the wine
to France and Northern Europe.

Ida
is originally from Holland. She comes 3 days a week
and takes care of customers in our tasting-room and oversees
the translations in english and in netherlands.

Our
friends and associates in Germany Elke and Werner
take care of the deliveries in Germany and Denmark. They are
often accompanied by Denis himself.
